Being a webcam model isn’t for everyone. This had to be said and it’s something most people don’t realize. Not every person can get in front of a camera and start to play with themselves in order to receive money, but if you can do this, camming is a pretty good way to make some legit money.
Something that holds a lot of people back is the exposure they can get with a job like this. And it’s understandable because you’re showing your intimate parts, and we know you wouldn’t want your dad seeing that, your friends from college, or even your neighbors. This is what we’ll discuss today and something that I know most models face at the beginning of their careers.
First thing first, if you want to become a webcam model and the only thing that’s holding you back is whether you can stay anonymous or not while making that money, let me assure you that it is totally possible. In fact, there are many camgirls that have successful careers and keep themselves completely under the radar of their acquaintances without revealing who they are.
Now, there are some things that you can do that are more effective than others, and today I’ll highlight some of them for you. One of the most important ones is to never give out your personal information to members and your camming information (your cam name, the platform you’re using, or even telling that one “close friend” what you do) to people that are close to you.
This one may sound like common sense, but throughout the years I’ve seen this mistake made multiple times by models. When you’re setting up as a webcam model you never want to give out any information that could be traced back to you. I’m talking about a name change when it comes to your camming name, a new email address that’s used only for this, no home address or phone number. When it comes to social media, make sure you have different accounts for this and that you never ever post the same things on your Social Media and your Model Social Media accounts.
Another important thing you can do is to change your appearance. Something that can shake things up when it comes to camming and can also help you conceal your appearance is to try to change up your appearance from your daily look. I’m talking about contact lenses, glasses, new hairstyles, wigs, or costumes, not plastic surgery or any stuff like that. And I’m dead serious about this because if you wear a wig, play around with the make-up you use, and consider fake glasses (with anti-glare and reflection lenses) or contact lenses, you can absolutely change how you look.
If you have tattoos that are recognizable, beauty marks that are unique to you, or other things that can be concealed, do it. Learn how to do cover-up make-up. Some of the make-up products on the market right now are amazing for doing this and they won’t hurt your bank when you buy them.
Another great thing to do is to Geoblock your location. It’s a great idea, and what’s even better is that cam sites understand that you may not want to be seen by everyone and broadcast to every country in the world or at least to your local area. Because they are sensitive about these things, most sites allow you to block certain areas from seeing your profile and your shows.
Camming really is a great way to earn extra money. Unfortunately, while cam modeling isn’t illegal, it still isn’t widely accepted. This is why you want to do your best to keep yourself anonymous and with these tips, you should be able to protect your identity, keep the peace with the family, and hopefully any other lame person from finding out what you’re up to on your personal free time.
